Technical training for a better tomorrow.

Empowering today’s workforce with advanced technical training is critical for a successful business. The Southern Kentucky Business Park is located within close proximity to several accredited higher education institutions and technical training programs. There are 20 schools offering technological training are located within 60 miles of Corbin. The Kentucky Tech Corbin campus currently offers training in computer-aided drafting, electrical technology, automotive technology, health sciences, information technology, welding, and wood products. These centers will work with existing and new industries to create programs designed for specific training needs. 

Southeast KY Regional Training Consortium

The Southeast Kentucky Regional Training Consortium was incorporated in 2008 to assist regional industry with workforce development training. Through a grant program made available by Bluegrass State Skills Corporation, the training cost for each participating industry is reduced by 50%. The training programs are developed and administered by Career Pathways Institute. Currently, membership consists of 15 companies in 5 counties.

KCEOC Work Ready Training Center

We have exciting news! The KCEOC Work Ready Training Center is a brand new training center that is currently under construction in Barbourville, Kentucky! The Work Ready Training Center is a 37,000 square-foot facility that is expected to create 10 full-time jobs for faculty and staff. They plan to serve more than 1,000 students and trainees. 

“The Work Ready Training Center has been a long-term dream of our Workforce staff to have this facility here in Knox County,” said Paul Dole, President & CEO of KCEOC Community Action Partnership. “It is expected that Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College will serve over 1,400 students the first three years at this new facility. KCEOC Community Action Partnership, Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, and EKCEP are providing a game-changer for Southeastern Kentucky to have a highly skilled workforce that employers will want to come here for.”

The KCEOC Work Ready Training Center is located at 117 Shelby St. Barbourville, KY 40906.
